1996 BMW R100R Classic, 72,600 kms,  $8250 ono

(for sale)

Deceased Estate. This is a genuine low-mileage (for a BMW), collectable and very rideable classic BMW touring motorcycle, well-maintained and in very good condition for age.

The R100R is based on the mono-shock GS frame mated to high quality road forks, tubeless spoke-wheels and Brembo brakes, with a 22 litre fuel tank and extras - it has factory fitted heated hand-grips, oil cooler, panniers, and after-market touring windscreen and “rack-pack”.

A reliable, comfortable and impressive touring machine that was never dropped and mainly used on asphalt (but some dirt road touring use), it is in very good original condition with no dents but has some minor signs of a well-travelled life.

Over the past several decades, riding my R100 GS, I accompanied my good mate on his beloved R100R as we covered almost all of SE Australia, riding The Snowy Mountains and Vic Alps, twice around Tasmania, the Great Ocean Road to Adelaide and as far north as Emerald and Yeppoon in Queensland.  Over those thousands of kms, in both fair weather and foul, this R100R never missed a beat.

This is one of only 10 BMW R100Rs currently for sale worldwide.  With 3 months ACT registration, factory accessories, helmet, weatherproof jacket and bike cover, it is ready for adventure or commuting.

Offered as part of a deceased estate on behalf of the wife of my motorcyclist friend, this machine would suit a BMW enthusiast or collector.  At $8250 ono, it presents the opportunity to acquire a collectable and very useable classic machine at a most reasonable price.
