If you’ve time for a back roads ride before the silly season kicks off, then why not join the Club for a Saturday ride to Wombat for lunch at the recently reopened Wombat Hotel (183 km)? Prefer a shorter ride – then join us for the first leg through to Boorowa for coffee (118 km).

Outbound: Ex. Ampol/Caltex Foodary, Gold Creek (Nicholls), Rye Park, Boorowa (coffee), then on to Cunningar, Cusak and Moppity Rds to Young and through to Wombat via the Olympic Hwy (183 km): Google Maps 

Return: Each to their own and to decide on the day with options including:

• Via Harden-Murrumburrah, Binalong, Illalong Rd (to avoid BG Way roadworks) and Hume Hwy (147 km): Google Maps

• Via Harden-Murrumburrah, Cunningar Rd and Lachlan Valley Way  (152 km):  Google Maps

Approx. 335 km return (ex. Ampol Foodary, Nicholls) on sealed main and secondary roads (expect some damaged surfaces).

Fuel: Available in Boorowa, Young and Harden-Murrumburrah.

Meeting Point: Meet fuelled and ready to go at the Ampol/Caltex Foodary, Gold Creek (Nicholls) for an 08:45 set-off.

GS Riders: For those keen on detouring via gravel or dirt, you’re more than welcome to join us en route, or at the Pub.
