Departure from Hall lay-by at 8:30 AM (make sure you have a full tank of fuel). Route via Boorowa, Frogmore, Bathurst (lunch), Turondale/Hill End/Pyramul Rds to Mudgee.

Accommodation options at Mudgee are plentiful from pubs, motels to van parks. If you're on a budget, like myself, the Riverside Caravan & Tourist Park has options from cabins to tent sites, and is a short walk to the centre of town.

Proposed return route the following day, is via Kandos, Oberon, Goulburn etc. Likewise, there are a number of alternatives for those wanting to do their own thing.
