2016 BMW GS SAFARI ENDURO

Fancy taking your BMW GS on a real outback adventure ride? How about Streaky Bay to Broken Hill via Coober Pedy, Lake Eyre, Arkaroola and the Flinders Ranges? Here it is, The 2016 BMW GS Safari Enduro.

ENTRIES FOR THE ENDURO OPEN MARCH 29

The GS Enduro is the more difficult of the two GS Safari events. This is for riders who have some experience at riding adventure bikes on the dirt, can handle more than just basic terrain. Riders should have possibly already participated in a previous GS Safari, attended a BMW Off-road Rider Training course or have solid off road riding experience.

HERITAGE

With a long and proud history dating back to 1994, Australia’s BMW Safaris are among the longest running BMW Motorrad customer rides in the world. The GS Safari Enduro was started in 2013 due to the overwhelming popularity of the regular GS Safari.

THE ROUTE

Starting in Streaky Bay, South Australia the ride takes a challenging path through iconic Australian Towns and locations including Coober Pedy, Lake Eyre, Flinders Ranges, Arkaroola and finally finishing in Broken Hill. There are many stand out sights along the way, like Lake Gairnder, an abandoned Woomera Rocket Range, William Creek, incredible tracks around Arkaroola and much more.

THE GROUP

The GS Safari group is a diverse bunch from all walks of life. At most events we have a great mix of returning riders and Safari first timers. There are old and young, father and son and a growing number of ladies. Everyone is welcome, as long as you’re riding a GS!
