Riding days are getting warmer and longer! So, why not join the Club for a longer day ride over the Monaro Plains, down Brown Mtn to Bemboka, with a loop of corners through Kameruka, Candelo and Mogilla, before heading back to Bemboka to meet up with BMWTCNSW riders for 12:00 lunch at the Bemboka Hotel and Café? Short on time? Then join us for coffee on the first leg through to Nimmitabel (99 km one-way).

Join the Club and your fellow Club Members in recognising our 2025 Award winners over lunch with your invited partner/guest.

Meet at the Hotel Queanbeyan (the Top Pub) for pre-drinks 1200 Saturday 05 December 2026 and seated for lunch at 1230 and a 3 course alternate serve set menu. Use the registration form option if you are vegetarian, vegan or have another diet requirement. Purchase your own drinks at the bar.

The cost for members and their invited guest is $60 per person.

HMAS Nirimba 1977-2027 50th Anniversary Reunion (10 Feb 2027)

This is NOT a BMW Motorcycle Club Canberra Inc. Event

Only those people joining the Royal Australian Navy and HMAS Nirimba in January 1977 can register to this event that requires a seperate unique access code provided separately.

If YOUR name isn't on the Navy's + group amended corrected graduation list or members recollection then it will be cancelled - without refund.

January 1977 saw some 240 fresh faced teenagers join the Royal Australian Navy as civilian recruit apprentices or posted as Junior Recruits from HMAS Leeuwin WA to the RAN Apprentice Training Establishment HMAS Nirimba located at Quakers Hill NSW. They were joined by serving sailors completing 'phase' technical training and engineering sailors of the Royal Malaysian Navy completing a specialist trade.

Apprentice theory & practical/shop training was compressed into 24-30 months followed by 2 years consolidation training completed on posting to ships at sea or support bases throughout Australia.

A 50th anniversary intake reunion has been planned for 10-12 February 2027 in Canberra to celebrate this milestone, reunite, share a few stories and pause and reflect on those no longer with us.

Having worked through the registration form, confirm YOUR registration and get an email invoice with payment details. You can also download a copy.
YOU can change your registration up to the week before for meals or until I have ordered YOUR shirt. Use the same email to login and then 'forgot/reset password' to get back in.
After registering you will get a confirmation email that MAY end up in YOUR SPAM or Junk folder requiring your action (ie: to accept emails from www.bmwmcc.au). Follow the cues.
Once you have registered YOUR invoice is generated automatically and asks you to pay the BMW Motorcycle Club Canberra by EFT. That is correct. Follow the instructions and include the Invoice Number and YOUR Surname or as much as fits in the description. This helps me and Club Treasurer know who has registered and paid for what.

Search the motorcycle related socials for "Off Centre Rally/run or OCR". There is a (private) Facebook Group that Admins may answer your inquiry https://www.facebook.com/groups/573612616899695.

For the serious adventure rider then the OCR is a 40+ year classic. Held every two years and involving a ride to a remote Australian location.

For 2028 the rally heads to Betoota Hotel Western Queensland. Google Map link https://maps.app.goo.gl/ut7nEt2C2tHuVfUe7.

The OCR is held in remote parts of Australia with limited support of any kind. Intending riders and their motorcycle need to be well prepared, allow for contingencies and be flexible to evolving conditions. Having plenty of cash will also help with accommodation and mix of 5 star bush camping or Pubs.

Recovery of people and motorcycles is expensive from the remote areas of Australia. Make sure you have ambulance cover as a minimum and take advantage of the Club Member Rider & First Aid Training program beforehand.
